About Medicine Foundation
edicine Foundation prepares applicants for entry to the best Austrian medical universities. The goal of the programme is to help international students to meet the standards of Austrian education and prepare them for an entrance examination. Students undergo a profound and rigorous pre-university training in German language and pathway subjects.
Medicine University Foundation is the only programme which helps international students to meet the standards of the Austrian education, pass an entrance exam and get admission to medical universities.
International students seeking to get transferred and continue the studies in Austria (independent of your previous education and work experience) would need to pass an admission examination first.
Undergraduate & Postgraduate

Students are expected to master the German language and have a good foundation in life (Biology, Chemistry) and social sciences (Mathematics, Physics) in order to take the course. The programme is divided into 2 parts:
- Pathway subjects
- Entrance Exam Preparation
The classes take place 5 days per week are heavily test based. The course is academically demanding. Expect to spend a lot of time doing homework and preparing presentations at home.
During the course students revise the full school programme in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Additionally to the pathway subjects, we provide the Cognitive (IQ) and Psychological trainings, as the examination lasts 8 hours in a highly competitive atmosphere.
An entrance examination takes place on the 1st Friday of July. The results are announced at the beginning of August.

Eligibility and Admission
To be eligible for the Foundation Course, applicants need to have completed secondary education i.e. school leaving certificate / high school diploma (12 or 11 grades, depending on the country). To put it in a different way, you must be eligible for university studies in your home country. University students and graduates are eligible for the course.
The language of instruction is German. Students are expected to master German language (B2 level). You would need to provide a certificate or pass an internal language test. Students, who are not proficient in German language, should take a German Course first. Upon course completion, students are expected to pass a C1 German language examination.
Medicine Foundation Admission
International students are recommended to apply at least 6 months in advance, in order to arrange all the visa and admission formalities. Fill-in the online application form and upload your documents for a review.
